Collard & Co were contracted to carry out PUWER inspections on equipment for a major aquaculture company. We attended each of their sites, engaged with the operational, engineering and health and safety teams to better understand the challenges and ensure we got into the bones of how equipment was being used, maintained and operated.

Reporting covered each machine’s compliance with Provision and Use of Work equipment regulations, but also considered CE marking and compliance with British and European standards for guarding, signage and work exposure limits for chemical substances.

The scope covered 1000s of individual assets which were located across highland Scotland and the isles, and has enabled the business to take concrete steps to de-risk the machinery in operation and ensure consistency of standards across it’s estate.
